About ILUKA

Iluka is a coastal town surrounded by national park, ocean, beaches and the mighty Clarence River in the gorgeous northern rivers of NSW.

The town and the surrounding area has long been famous for fishing, and the serious angler never visits without a frypan packed in amongst the fishing gear.

Iluka also offers easy access to national parks, world heritage listed rainforest, kilometres of unspoilt beaches, great surfing, swimming, galleries, fabulous seafood and relaxed lifestyle.

The town's best surfing beach is at Iluka Bluff, which can be reached by a short drive or via the rainforest walking track. There is a splendid lookout, whale watch platform and rainforest display here (NPWS entry fees do not apply). The views from the whalewatch platform include Yamba and the river mouth and extend north across many beaches and bays. A whale watching brochure is available from Visitor Centres.
