About TEXAS

Texas is located on the Dumaresq river, a small town surrounded by grazing areas. The area was settled in the early 1840s and named after the largest landholding ''Texas Station''. Tobacco was grown in the area from the 1870s until the 1950s.

Local attractions include Glenlyon Dam which has camping facilities, canoeing, sail boarding and fishing and the Texas Historical Museum.
